Under the direction of the Quality Manager, the Quality Control Technician in Physical Chemistry has as main mandate to carry out quality controls related to the production, bottling and shipping of the products elaborated within the Stassen Cider Mill. From the reception of raw materials to the shipping of finished products, the Quality Control Technician ensures that specifications are respected in order to guarantee the quality of our products.
Your responsibilities
- Take samples of raw materials semi-finished products and finished products according to the analysis plan in force
- Carry out physico-chemical and sensory analyses in accordance with established standards. Record, analyze and interpret the results obtained. Guarantee the reliability and traceability of the results obtained through the rigorous application of the laboratory's internal standards and procedures, based on the LABSTAR standard.
- Manage the collection, identification and storage of retention samples of raw materials and finished products.
- Calibrate and perform preventive maintenance on control equipment (in the laboratory and on production lines).
- Develop and maintain physical chemistry procedures and operating methods in accordance with HEINEKEN standards and LABSTAR.
- Perform various administrative tasks such as report writing, certificate issuance, procedure writing, ERP encoding, etc.
- Participate in the continuous quality improvement process:
- Laboratory and quality related projects (purchase of new equipment, implementation of methods, process optimization, etc)
- Internal audits (LABSTAR, TPM, ...) or external audits (BRC, AFSCA, BIO, etc).
- Working and improvement groups (5S, TPM, ...)
This is you
- You have a Bachelors degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry or Agronomy. A first experience in quality control in the food industry is a plus.
- You have a strong interest in our products like beer and cider and are willing to taste these products. Of course, you take this responsibly and always drink in moderation.
- Working in shifts is not an issue for you.
- You're precise and detail-oriented. When doing chemical analyses, you're sure the results you receive are correct.
- You can work well autonomously and organize your tasks by your own.
- You're a teamplayer and communicative.
- You speak fluent French, so you can easily communicate with your colleagues. Your English is good enough to read procedures and to have a conversation with external people.
